SEMIH YALMAN GIVES STUDENTS A LESSON ON DREAMING BIG

12 Haziran 2018 Salı - 12 Haziran 2018 Salı

Semih Yalman, founder of DreamsTalk — the world’s first and only social entrepreneurship platform established to encourage young people to dream — gave a conference titled Who Are You, What Is Your Story?” to the students newly admitted to Abdullah Gül University (AGÜ) this year.

Also a faculty member at AGÜ, Semih Yalman spoke to the new students at the Rectorate Conference Hall on the Sümer Campus about the importance of dreaming and encouraged them to dream big.

Yalman advised the students, Be the ones who discuss ideas, emphasizing that everyone should have a story.

He encouraged the students to create their own stories by first getting to know themselves well and understanding what they can and cannot do.

Yalman said, “It’s not enough to just design; you also need to have a story. You need to write your story — a story so compelling that your audience will listen to you. You need to ask questions. What are you made of? Not flesh and bones — I’m not talking about that. Look at what you have in your life. What is your life made of? Which components form it? To be able to say ‘This is how I see myself in 20 years,’ you need to define those components as well. You have to design and think about these today.”

At the end of the conference, Semih Yalman answered questions from the students.
