Course Packages

For Master's Degree Students to Graduate from the Industrial Engineering Department:

  • At least 120 ECTS and at least 24 Credits (at least 7 Courses + GCC 1001)*

  • Seminar (XXX500)*

  • Thesis Work (XXX597 Specialization Course + XXX599 Thesis Course)**

GCC1001 Introduction to Scientific Research and Publication Ethics and XXX500 Seminar courses must be taken and passed by the students.

The XXX597-XXX599 courses must be selected after the appointment of the thesis advisor, starting from the beginning of the next term.

Compulsory Courses (3 Courses):

  • IE511 Modeling and Optimization

  • IE534 Risk Modeling, Evaluation, and Management

  • GCC1001 Introduction to Scientific Research

Elective Courses (4 Courses):
Industrial Engineering graduate students must successfully complete 4 elective courses, in addition to the compulsory courses. These courses do not have to be from the Industrial Engineering Department and may be selected from other department courses.

For PhD Degree Students to Graduate from the Industrial Engineering Department:

  • At least 240 ECTS and at least 24 Credits (at least 7 Courses)

  • GCC 1001*

  • Seminar (XXX600)*

  • Doctoral Qualifying Exam

  • Thesis Proposal

  • At least 3 Thesis Monitoring Committee Reports

  • Thesis Work (XXX697 Specialization Course + XXX699 Thesis Course)**

GCC1001 Introduction to Scientific Research and Publication Ethics and XXX600 Seminar courses must be taken and passed by the students.

The XXX697-XXX699 courses must be selected after the appointment of the thesis advisor, starting from the beginning of the next term.

Compulsory Courses (2 Courses):

  • IE601 Advanced Mathematics for Optimization

  • GCC1001 Introduction to Scientific Research

Elective Courses (5 Courses):
Industrial Engineering graduate students must successfully complete 5 elective courses, in addition to the compulsory courses. These courses do not have to be from the Industrial Engineering Department and may be selected from other department courses.

 


For Bachelor's Degree Students to Obtain an Integrated PhD from the Industrial Engineering Department:

  • At least 300 ECTS and at least 48 Credits (at least 15 Courses + GCC 1001)*

  • Seminar (XXX600)*

  • Doctoral Qualifying Exam

  • Thesis Proposal

  • At least 3 Thesis Monitoring Committee Reports

  • Thesis Work (XXX697 Specialization Course + XXX699 Thesis Course)**
