Prof.Dr.Pınar KESKİNOCAK

Georgia Institute of Technology (GATECH), ABD

Pınar Keskinocak is a professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Georgia Technical Institute in the USA. She is one of the founders and managers of the Humanitarian Logistics Center of the same university. In addition, she continues her academic services as the deputy director in the Health Systems Center.

Her research interests include; operations research, social science application areas of management science (especially health and humanitarian aid applications), supply chain management, pricing and income management and logistics/transportation. Also; He has carried out a large number of projects in different sectors such as automotive, semiconductor, paper production, printing, health, hotel, and airline. Research studies have been published in prestigious academic journals such as Operations Research, Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, IIE Transactions, Naval Research Logistics and Interfaces.


 

Deniz ŞAHİN

Turkey and Caucasus Logistics Group Manager, Procter & Gamble (P&G) Turkey

Deniz Şahin graduated from Bilkent University Industrial Engineering Department in 1994. Between 1994 and 1997, he worked as System Analyst and Sales Consultant at IAS BUSINESS SYSTEMS CONSULTING in Istanbul. Between 1998 and 1999, he worked as a teacher and consultant in SAP Turkey. Between 1999 and 2000, he worked as Logistics Manager in FOKUS DAGITIM VE TIC. A.S. He joined PROCTER & GAMBLE in 2001 and he is still working as Turkey and Caucasus Logistics Group Manager in the same company.


 

ANIL YILMAZ

General Manager, T.C. Ministry of Science Industry and Technology

He completed his secondary and high school education in TED Ankara College Foundation Private High School. In 1992, he graduated from Bilkent University, Department of Industrial Engineering. He received his master's degree in Economics from Bilkent University in 1995 and his MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management in 2002, in e-commerce and finance. In 1993, he started to work in State Planning Organization as planning assistant. He worked as a planning expert in the areas of telecommunications, electronics and electrical machinery sectors, privatization, state aid in the manufacturing industry, public investments, project management and strategic planning. He served as Consultant of Undersecretary of State Planning, consultancy to the State Minister responsible for the economy, president in the Strategic Planning Department, President in the Department of Corporate and Strategic Management. He worked as a part-time university lecturer and taught various courses such as e-commerce, system analysis design. Since September 2011, he has been working as the General Director of Productivity at the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology. He is the Vice President of the European Association of Productivity Centers and a Board Member of the World Confederation of Productivity Science.


 

Prof. Dr. Bopaya Bidanda

He received his BS in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology in 1976, MA in Science & Technology from Western California University (1983), and his PhD in Industry and Management Systems Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.

Professor Bidanda conducts research on Manufacturing Systems, Reverse Engineering, Product Development and Project Management. He has authored 10 books and has published over 100 international articles. Finally, he has edited two books: Virtual Prototyping and Biostatistics in Medical Applications, and Biomaterials and Prototyping Applications. He has given numerous guest speeches in Asia, South America, Africa and Europe.

Professor Dr. Bidanda is currently head of the Industrial Engineering Department at the University of Pittsburgh. He served as Chairman of the Industrial Engineering Departments Council and Chairman of the Industrial Engineers Institute. He is on the advisory board of many universities in India and South America.


 

ORHAN GENCEL

DASSAULT SYSTEMES

Orhan Gencel graduated from Bilkent University, Department of Industrial Engineering and completed his master's degree in Information Systems at the Informatics Institute of Middle East Technical University.

He started his career as an industrial engineer at Roketsan AŞ in 2000 and subsequently worked as a consultant at the same company, as a research assistant at Middle East Technical University, and as a joint director at a venture company based in METU Technopolis.

Between 2005-2012, he subsequently worked as Retail Marketing Officer, Market Analyst, and Training Officer, Anadolu Channel Sales Manager and finally as Business Development Manager responsible for public and corporate customers in Intel Turkey.

From September 2012, he worked as a Technology Sales Manager in Oracle Turkey and develops IT infrastructure projects for public institutions and large companies. He does regular sports and is interested in gardening as much as possible. He is married and has one child.


 

Doç. Dr. Süleyman KARABÜK

School of Industrial Engineering, University of Oklohoma, ABD

Dr. Süleyman Karabük received his bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the Middle East Technical University and his master's degree in Bilkent University. In 2001, he received his Ph.D. from Lehigh University in the USA in the same field. Since 2003, he has been working in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Oklahoma in the US and continuing his profession with the title of Associate Professor. After completing his Ph.D. he also worked as an Operations Research Specialist.

Süleyman Karabük continues his research on large scales logistics problems such as vehicle routing, site selection, and evacuation. A significant portion of this researches has been in close cooperation with the industry. He has worked with Trinity Industries, Tulsa Transit Authority, and BNSF railway companies. His articles were published in IIE Transactions, Operations Research, Transportation Research, and IEEE Software. He teaches undergraduate and graduates courses in optimization, manufacturing chain, and decision support systems in the University of Oklahoma.


 

Neslihan CENK

Regulatory Expert, Türk Telekom

Neslihan Cenk graduated from Bilkent University, Department of Industrial Engineering in 2009. She completed her Master's Degree at the same university with the thesis topic actions Artificial Neural Network Modeling and Simulation of In Vitro Nanoparticle-Cell Interactions Yine. In this period, she worked as a research assistant in the department he studied. In June 2010, she transferred to Türk Telekom. As of 2015, she works as a regulatory expert in this company. Since June 2014, she has been certified as Occupational Health and Safety. Areas of expertise; simulation and prediction models, competitive intelligence, information technology in telecommunications and social-political-business world.


 

 

Ayten PAŞAYİĞİT

Started her career at Borusan Logistic in a Management Trainee Programme and was promoted to Operations & Customer Relations Manager in Iran by end-2007. Implemented 6 Sigma Projects as an Executive Green Belt (DMEDI & DMAIC) to assist new business development in North Africa, Middle East and CIS. Played a pivotal role in establishing Borusan presence in Dubai, Iran, Algeria and Kazakhstan and navigated legal landscape and developed new business. 

On Feb , 2009 she moved to  Dubai, and started to work as account manager at leading Japanese mobile services company NTT Docomo’s fully owned subsidiary Docomo Intertouch, managing relationship with regional clients comprising hospitality chains Ritz-Carlton, Movenpick, and Marriott in UAE, Bahrain and Kuwait. 

End of 2009 she started in Unilever ,Middle East Gulf HeadOffice, Dubai, UAE as Marketing & Sales Operations Planning Manager , Responsible for Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) for Gulf. Managing statistical forecasting process using Baseline forecasting model. Launched Baseline forecasting for over 800 regular SKUs. Implemented Demand Planning Solution using SAP/APO- Advanced Planner and Optimizer . As a short assignment role , she worked as Assistant Brand Manager , House Hold Care, GULF. Responsible of World leading bleach brand “Domestos” Market Launch in GULF region and JIF Brand management . Then she took role as Regional Innovation Planning Manager for Hair category in North Africa and Middle East Gulf . Responsible of innovation plans for next 5 years and collaborate between local execution plans with global market plans by managing full process from innovation decision till  the product lands to the targeted market. During this process, she was regularly monitoring the capacity of factories, managing the 3rd party production globally. 

After strong experience in cooperate business in global level, beginning of 2014 she joined to her brother’s company  SPDO as Managing Partner.   Starting by business strategy management, she focused on developing the business in global level by keeping same quality and standards and presenting SPDO brand in global platforms.

She is an industrial engineer graduated from Galatasaray University in 2006. She studied her high school in Kayseri Science High School
