As part of the "Kariyer Yolund Seyrüsefer" event series jointly organized by the Department of Industrial Engineering and the Operations Research Club, a seminar titled "Careers in the Defense Industry" was held.
The guest speakers of the event were Murat Aslan, Director of Supply Chain Management at ASELSAN, and Şafak Baykal, Project Manager at ASELSAN for the National Train Traction Chain, Train Control and Management System, and National Traction System Development Projects.
The seminar attracted significant interest from Industrial Engineering students. Murat Aslan shared insights into the defense industry and offered valuable advice to students who aspire to pursue a career in this field.
He especially emphasized the importance of having a strong command of English, particularly in spoken communication.
Şafak Baykal highlighted the role and importance of Industrial Engineering in the defense industry.
He encouraged students to gain international experience, stressing the value of global exposure in one’s professional life.
At the end of the seminar, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Akgün, Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering, presented certificates of appreciation to Murat Aslan and Şafak Baykal.
